We started by managing our own distributed technical teams for client engagements.

Over time, that same discipline – sourcing, hiring, and reliably delivering – turned into the two services we offer today: coworking space and Employer of Record support. Both are built on the same idea: give growing companies infrastructure they don’t have to think twice about.

Reliable, Stable, and Trusted

Tens of companies rely on us today for coworking space, compliant employment, or both. We take that seriously. Our engineering background means we approach payroll, compliance, and workspace operations the same way we’d approach any system we’re responsible for keeping up and running: with attention to detail, clear processes, and accountability when something needs fixing.

That’s the standard we hold ourselves to – high-quality, reliable, and stable services, not just for now, but for the long run as your company grows.

That includes the questions clients would rather not discover late, like how an India team affects their tax position at home and who owns the work when someone resigns.

We Understand Growing Companies and Large Enterprises Alike

Having worked across both ends of the spectrum, we know the difference between what a five-person startup needs and what a large enterprise expects.

For Startups

Startups need speed and flexibility without the overhead of building HR, compliance, and office infrastructure from scratch.

For Large Enterprises

Enterprises need reliability, clean compliance records, and a partner who won’t cut corners as headcount grows.

We built 97 Tech Center to serve both – delivering the same rigor and reporting standards whether you’re hiring your first consultant in India or your fiftieth.

What Guides Us

Leadership Team

Meet the people running 97 Tech Center’s coworking spaces and Employer of Record services in India – operations, finance, and compliance working together so growing teams get a single, dependable partner.

Mehendihasan Saiyed

Sandeep Walavalkar

Head of Operations

Sandeep has been with 97 Tech Center since the beginning and leads operations across the firm. His remit covers the workspaces in Goregaon West and the development centres in Surat, Ranchi and Nashik, along with the delivery side of the Employer of Record practice: onboarding, the day to day support clients’ teams rely on, and the recruitment and replacement capability that keeps a seat filled when someone moves on.

His view is that reliability is not a strategy but an accumulation. Infrastructure that works, commitments met on the day they were made, questions answered the first time they are asked. Sandeep helped build the operating model the firm runs on today and continues to shape which commitments 97 Tech Center takes on and the standard they are held to once accepted. He works closely with Prayag and Mehendihasan, on the basis that a client experiences operations, finance and compliance as one thing rather than three.

Mehendihasan Saiyed

Prayag Vaity

Chief Financial Officer

Prayag leads finance across both sides of the business, the coworking operation and the Employer of Record practice. Because EOR clients rely on 97 Tech Center to run payroll and make statutory payments on their behalf, he treats financial discipline as a form of client trust rather than a back office function. The numbers have to be right every cycle, without exception.

Most of his attention sits where finance and compliance overlap: payroll accuracy, statutory payments, and the reporting clients see each month. That overlap is where an Employer of Record is really tested, since a payroll run that is late or a filing that is short becomes a client problem immediately. Prayag works with Mehendihasan on the statutory side and with Sandeep on resourcing, and keeps the firm’s pricing straightforward enough that clients can see exactly what they are paying for.

Mehendihasan Saiyed

Compliance Officer

Mehendihasan holds the compliance side of what 97 Tech Center offers growing teams in India: space, people, and compliance. He keeps the firm’s Employer of Record and PEO clients aligned with Indian labour, tax and statutory requirements, a landscape that shifts often and regularly catches out companies expanding into India for the first time.

His work covers monitoring regulatory change, managing statutory filings and audits, and building the internal checks that catch issues before they reach a client. India makes this harder than it looks, since notice periods, leave entitlements, professional tax and night shift rules all differ from one state to the next, and a client with people in four states is effectively operating under four sets of requirements. Mehendihasan works with Prayag on statutory payments and with Sandeep on employment terms, with the aim that clients never have to think about compliance at all, because it is already handled.
